Running back Stanley Wilson was so stoned on cocaine before Super Bowl XXIII last year that nothing he said about that night can be believed, according to Cincinnati Bengal Coach Sam Wyche.

Wilson was dropped from the team before the Bengals’ 20-16 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He had twice been suspended by league for cocaine use.

Wilson told Penthouse magazine that two other players collaborated with him to make a cocaine purchase, one of them sharing some of the drug with him shortly before a team meeting.

Wyche said that every member of the Bengal team, except Wilson, assembled five minutes before a scheduled 8:05 p.m. meeting. He said it would have been impossible to avoid spotting anyone who attended the meeting under the influence of cocaine.
