Girls’ basketball--The Hart High coach was incorrectly identified in Wednesday’s edition. The Indians’ coach is Dave Munroe.
The scoring total of Anjanette Dionne in Hart’s 64-50 win Tuesday over Alhambra was incorrectly reported in Wednesday’s edition. The Indians’ sophomore guard scored 41 points.

Taking off on a 10-2 run early in the first quarter and not looking back, Hart defeated host Alhambra, 64-50, to remain undefeated in the Foothill League.

“It feels really good, but we expect this of ourselves,” Hart guard Anjanette Dionne said.

Dionne scored 40 points and had 10 rebounds to lead Hart (18-4, 7-0 in league play).

“I think they look to me a lot, but everyone really helps out. It is a real team effort.”

Hart center Sara Wilson was held to 11 points but had 12 rebounds and was a big factor defensively.

“It was important for us to play strong defense, and we did,” Hart Coach Dave Murphy said. “Sara was terrific defensively, as were all of them tonight.”

The Indians led at halftime, 31-24. A 7-4 run by Alhambra at the beginning of the fourth quarter made the score 43-36 with 7 minutes 18 seconds remaining, but that was as close as the Moors (14-3, 5-2) would come.
