Christian Heritage defeated host Cal State San Bernardino, 106-94, to improve its record to 24-5.
Guard Rundy Foster scored a career-high 31 points to lead Christian Heritage, which also got 29 from Brad Soucie and 20 from freshman Rob Meter.
Cal State San Bernardino fell to 8-15.
UC San Diego squandered a 13-point halftime lead and was forced to hold off visiting Pomona-Pitzer, 91-88, in a nonconference game.
The Tritons (19-5) tied the school record for victories set in 1968-69. UCSD, ranked No. 20 in NCAA Division III, missed the front end of 10 one-and-ones in the second half.
Pomona-Pitzer (10-13) hit 10 of 16 from three-point range before missing its last attempt, which would have tied the game. David Todd had 25 points, including seven of 10 from three-point range, for Pomona-Pitzer. Tim Rapp had 32 points for UCSD.
Michael Benton was 10 of 14 from the field and finished with 29 points to lead Azsua Pacific to a 79-65 nonconference victory over host Point Loma Nazarene. Tim Foley had 14 points for PLNC (6-20).
MEN’S TENNIS
J.R. Edwards defeated Tim Fresnius, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 as University of San Diego defeated Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 7-2, in a nonconference match. Edwards then teamed with Dan Mattera to defeat Neal Berryman and Alex Harrilenko, 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 in doubles. USD and CPSLO, ranked No. 2 in NCAA Division II, are 3-2.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Four players scored in double figures to lead Point Loma Nazarene to a 67-58 victory over Azusa Pacific (17-9).
Shannon Abrams and Lisa Mowday scored 12 apiece, and Alicia Harasty and Becky Wilson each scored 10 for Point Loma Nazarene (14-11).
