Joseph Vaughn became the third Sylmar High football player to sign a national letter of intent this year when he committed to attend Cal State Fullerton on Saturday.
Vaughn (6-0, 175) joins teammates Jerome Casey (USC) and London Woodfin (UCLA) as Sylmar players who have signed national letters of intent.
Vaughn, a wide receiver-defensive back, said that he was planning to attend either Antelope Valley College or Pasadena City College until Cal State Fullerton tendered a scholarship offer last week.
Vaughn, who led Sylmar with five interceptions, will play defensive back at Fullerton.
“I don’t know if I’ll play as a freshman,” Vaughn said. “But I know I can play.”
