DIVISION II BOYS

University City 83, Valhalla 82--Jerome Price made a three-pointer with one second remaining to give host University City the victory. Price finished with 24 points and Joel Mitchell added 15. Tony Lee scored 22 for Valhalla.

DIVISION III BOYS

Clairemont 85, Kearny 76--Clairemont trailed by five at halftime but outscored Kearny, 20-11, in the third quarter to make the difference. Alex Love scored 22 points, and Bryan Sorenson added 20 for Clairemont (7-14). Tom Rawlins led Kearny (16-11) with 34 points.

St. Augustine 87, Ramona 58--St. Augustine, led by Paul Mossuto with 24 points and Bryan Cantwell with 18, shot 63% from the field and 87% from the foul line. Ramona shot 32% from the field and 60% from the line. Todd Johnson and Travis Knight each scored 15 points for Ramona (14-8).

Lincoln 78, La Jolla 60--Lincoln won its 20th game of the season and its 11th in a row. It is the third consecutive year Lincoln has won at least 20 games.

And the Hornets accomplished it this time with some team work; five players were in double figures: John McCartney 14, Andre Toussaint 14, Ken Garner 12, Darryl McMillan 11 and Brian Parks 11.

Parks, a 6-foot-5 senior forward, also had 26 rebounds, and McMillan came up with 12 steals.

DIVISION II GIRLS

Point Loma 66, Serra 30--Tyeast Brown led Point Loma (25-3) with 27 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Serra (15-11) was led by Pamm Ross with 14 points. Point Loma led, 34-8, at halftime.

San Pasqual 74, Grossmont 48--Grossmont couldn’t handle San Pasqual’s full-court press, and the second-seeded Eagles broke away in the second half. Nikki Gannon scored 23, and Becki Callahan added 17 for San Pasqual. Christina Adams scored 33 points for Grossmont.

DIVISION III GIRLS

USDHS 65, Clairemont 22--Amy Seidlinger scored 22 points and had 12 rebounds for USDHS (17-3). Teammate Danielle Todd added 10 points. Clairemont (2-18) was led by Maria Evans with 10 points. USDHS will play Our Lady of Peace in the semifinals Tuesday.

Our Lady of Peace 74, La Jolla 34--The Pilots had four starters in double figures: Tammy Tavares 20, April Velk 18, Kristy Linaugh 11 and Kathy Bashi 10.

Tavares, a 5-foot-1 senior guard, also contributed eight assists and four rebounds.
