HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL ROUNDUP : Tatum Hits Two Homers as Grossmont Scores 22 Runs

John Tatum hit two home runs, including a grand slam that highlighted a 12-run inning, as Grossmont rolled to 22-4 victory over visiting San Pasqual in a Reyman-Pirate Tournament game Wednesday.

Tatum hit his second home run in the fifth inning with one man on and finished with six RBIs.

Grossmont is 6-0, San Pasqual 1-3-1.

GMC Tournament

Lincoln 11, La Jolla Country Day 10--James Davis went three for three with two doubles and three RBIs, and Paul Greene walked with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth to provide the winning run for Lincoln (4-1).

Crawford Tournament

University City 11, West Hills 6--West Hills had pulled to within 7-6, but left-handed hitting Tom Braley sliced a two-run double down the left-field line in the top of the seventh to give University City the victory in Santee.

Braley, a center fielder, was two for three with a run scored and three runs batted in for University City (2-2). West Hills is 2-2.

Clairemont 16, Crawford 1--Antoine Henry hit the second pitch into the right-center field gap for a home run to set the tone for Clairemont. It was the first loss of the year for Crawford (3-1).

Jesus Jauregui, Craig Goodwin and Oscar Sanchez also homered for the Chieftains (2-3).

La Jolla 22, Christian 5--Bryan Hidalgo went three for four with four RBIs for La Jolla (3-1). Christian (0-4) was behind, 18-1, after three innings.

Nonleague

Marian 5, Midway Baptist 3--Hector Concepcion hit a game-winning two-run double in the fourth for Marian (3-0).
