PREP ROUNDUP
In the Beaumont Invitational track meet:
Junior Renee Wright was named athlete of the meet for leading the Orange Lutheran girls’ team to an easy victory. Wright won the 100-meter hurdles (15.6), the 300-meter hurdles (47.63) and anchored two winning relay teams: the 400 relay (52.4) and the 1,600 relay (4:31.72). Orange Lutheran scored 134 points and Temecula Valley was second with 64 1/2.
In Woodbridge softball tournament pool play:
El Toro 1, Bolsa Grande 0--Marta Bickert pitched a no-hitter, struck out six and walked two for the Chargers (13-5) at Harvard Park in Irvine. Bickert (3-2) also picked up an RBI with a single to center in the second inning, bringing home Jennifer Jourdan, who had walked and reached second on a wild pitch. Bickert, a junior, had two hits, as did teammate Kymm Maniscalco.
Trabuco Hills 4, Huntington Beach 2--Wendy Pike (3-1) pitched a five-hitter for the Mustangs (11-5).
