Monarchs’ Derek Stone Signs With Boise State

Derek Stone of Mater Dei High School has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Boise State, Monarch Coach Gary McKnight said Thursday.

Stone, a 6-foot-8 center, averaged 8.1 points and 5.6 rebounds a game for the Monarchs last season. He was a two-year starter at Mater Dei, which won the State Division I championship this season.
