Westminster Baseball Coach Ostrowski Quits

Ken Ostrowski, who led Westminster High School’s baseball team to the Southern Section playoffs in three of the past four seasons, has resigned his position because of differences with the school’s administration.
Ostrowski called a team meeting and announced his decision Thursday afternoon but declined to comment publicly.
Westminster slumped to a 6-16 record and won only one game in the Sunset League this season.
Westminster averaged 17 victories per season from 1986 to 1988 and produced some of the top players in the county, including first baseman Ryan Klesko and pitcher Brett Grebe, who are playing in the Atlanta Braves’ minor league system.
