McCorkle Will Head Basketball All-Stars

Scott McCorkle of Capistrano Valley High School will head a group of Orange County high school basketball players in an all-star game against players from Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo counties at 7 p.m. Sunday at Santa Barbara College.

Santa Clara’s Shon Tarver, who has said he will attend Nevada Las Vegas in the fall, will head the Tri-County team in the Santa Barbara Vacation Classic.

Orange County, which is coached by Marina junior varsity Coach Paul Hoover, has a 3-0 lead in the series, which is sponsored by the Goleta Boys Club.

Other members of the Orange County team are Greg Evans of Ocean View, Fred Amos of Foothill, Agustin Heredia of Estancia, Beau Hossler of Trabuco Hills, Bill Martineau of Edison, Sam Sabbara of Western, Steve Marusich of Servite, Rodney Stewart of Brea-Olinda, Jimmy Galbert of Saddleback and Shawn Wiltshire of Southern California Christian.
