Ron Jaworski, a 16-year veteran quarterback who led the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl in 1981, was waived by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jaworski appeared in six games for the Chiefs last season after signing as a Plan B free agent. He suffered a sprained knee Oct. 15 against the Raiders and spent the rest of the season on injured reserve.
Jaworski, 39, had auditioned with CBS for an analyst position before deciding to sign with the Chiefs, and he was under consideration for roles with NBC and ESPN this season.
