Oklahoma struggled through a 7-4 season in 1989 and is serving the second year of a three-year probation.

But the Sooners are rolling once again.

Oklahoma produced 529 yards of offense and took advantage of every mistake as the No. 14 Sooners pounded No. 13 Pittsburgh, 52-10, Saturday at Norman, Okla.

The 52 points were the most given up by Pitt since a 55-10 loss to Penn State in 1971.

Kenyon Rasheed, Ike Lewis and Dewell Brewer all rushed for more than 100 yards as Oklahoma (2-0) gained 450 yards on the ground.

Lewis, who missed last week’s 34-14 victory over UCLA with a hamstring injury, gained 110 yards in 14 carries and scored on a 63-yard touchdown run in the second quarter that gave the Sooners a 31-3 halftime lead.

Brewer had 107 yards in eight carries, scoring on touchdown runs of 51 and 47 yards in the third quarter.
