Quarterback Lance Garcia connected on a 13-yard pass to Michael Vreeland with 25 seconds left in the game Friday night to conclude a wild fourth quarter and lift host Poly High to a 28-26 nonleague win over Eagle Rock.

Rodrigo Dorame caught a 27-yard pass on a fourth-and-20 play to keep the drive alive.

Eagle Rock (0-1) took a five-point lead on Arin Dunn’s 13-yard scoring catch from Eddie Espinoza with 6 minutes 34 seconds left.

Jonathan Campbell rushed for 188 yards in 33 carries and scored twice for Poly (1-1). Campbell’s four-yard scoring run capped a 15-play, 86-yard drive that gave the Parrots a 21-20 lead with 8:08 left.
