COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Narey Leads Saddleback to Victory in Volleyball

Jody Narey had 22 kills to spark Saddleback College to a 10-15, 18-16, 15-13, 6-15, 15-12 victory over Long Beach in a nonconference women’s volleyball match Wednesday at Saddleback.

Heather Keenan had 10 kills and three blocks and Debbie Quam had 33 assists and 22 digs for Saddleback (3-0). Long Beach is 2-1.

Other nonconference women’s volleyball:

Cerritos 3, Orange Coast 0--Cerritos won, 15-9, 15-10, 15-11. Reiko Matsumoto had eight kills and Megan McDonald had six blocks for host Orange Coast (2-2).

In South Coast Conference water polo:

Golden West 24, Mt. San Antonio 5--Edward Van Luijin scored five goals, four in the first quarter, to lead Golden West at Mt. San Antonio. Brian Sciacca scored his three goals in the first quarter and Aaron Weiss had three goals for Golden West (7-2).
