North Hollywood High basketball standout Jacinda Sweet has narrowed to five her list of Division I schools with which she is considering signing a letter of intent, according to Coach Rich Allen.
Sweet will take recruiting trips on five successive weekends, beginning this Saturday with Arizona. Allen said that Sweet also is considering Washington, Cal, Oregon State and defending NCAA champion Stanford.
Sweet averaged 23.4 points, 12.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists a game for the Huskies in 1989-90.
The 5-foot-9 senior guard might sign a letter of intent Nov. 14, the first day of the NCAA early-signing period.
“She’ll definitely sign early,” Allen said. “It’s sort of driving her crazy.”
