CS Fullerton Plays Host to Pacific
Cal State Fullerton and University of the Pacific will attempt to snap losing streaks today at 1 p.m. when the teams meet in a Big West Conference game at Santa Ana Stadium.
The Titans have lost five consecutive games, all on the road, in dropping to 1-5 overall, 0-2 in conference play, and the Tigers (1-4, 0-3) have lost three in a row.
Neither Pacific nor Fullerton has been impressive on defense this season--the Tigers rank last in the conference in scoring defense and total defense, and the Titans rank sixth in scoring defense and fifth in total defense.
Pacific is led by quarterback Troy Kopp, the former Mission Viejo High standout who set single-game school records for completions, 37, and attempts, 61, while throwing for 415 yards and three touchdowns in the Tigers’ 37-28 loss to Nevada Las Vegas Sept. 29.
