A Cal State Northridge football player was ordered Wednesday to stand trial on felony charges that he had an unloaded shotgun at a campus apartment complex.
Ray Boulden, 20, is scheduled to answer to one count of possession of a firearm on public school grounds Dec. 26 in San Fernando Superior Court.
If convicted, the reserve linebacker faces a maximum sentence of three years in state prison.
Boulden was arrested Nov. 28 at the University Park apartments after campus police found the weapon in his room, according to testimony Tuesday in his preliminary hearing.
Officer Donald Barnett said campus police went to Boulden’s apartment after other residents in the complex reported seeing a man carrying a gun.
Boulden is free on $5,000 bail.
