THE SIDELINES : Pro Bowl Adds Dallas’ Smith
IRVING, Tex. —
Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Emmitt Smith was chosen today to replace the injured Neal Anderson of the Chicago Bears on the NFC team for the Pro Bowl.
Smith, the Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, will be the first Cowboy to play in the game since Herschel Walker in 1988. The No. 1 draft pick from Florida is the first Dallas rookie selected since Everson Walls in 1981.
The Pro Bowl will be played Feb. 3 in Honolulu.
