GARDEN GROVE LEAGUE GIRLS’ BASKETBALL : Rancho Alamitos Remains Undefeated
Rancho Alamitos completed the regular season undefeated with a 68-51 victory over Pacifica in a Garden Grove League girls’ game Friday at Rancho Alamitos.
Anita Stecker scored 16 and Melinda Lira had 12 for Rancho Alamitos (24-0, 14-0 in league), which led, 39-28, at the half.
Jennifer Surface had 22 for Pacifica (5-9, 7-13).
In other league games:
Santiago 39, Bolsa Grande 31--At Santiago, senior forward Stefanie Cave had 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Cavaliers (13-10, 8-6).
Bolsa Grande finishes 6-16, 2-12.
Los Amigos 49, La Quinta 42--May Ly had 18 points for Los Amigos, which jumped ahead, 18-0, to start the game.
Carrie Elsaesser and Michelle Garcia each added nine for Los Amigos (11-11, 8-6).
