Penn State’s football team will start competing for the Big Ten title in 1993, conference officials decided. The Big Ten’s directors of athletics and women’s athletic administrators also voted to allow the Nittany Lions to begin playing for the conference championships in men’s and women’s basketball in 1992-93.
