Serra 6, Bonita Vista 1--Serra’s Jake Nabors went two for three, including a triple and two RBIs and teammate Mike Bledsoe was three for four and stole two bases. Serra improved to 3-0-1 as Bonita Vista fell to 0-4.

Point Loma 9, El Cajon Valley 2--Mel Shanley struck out five and walked only one while pitching a complete game for Point Loma (2-2). Teammate Tobin Gault went three for four, including a home run and a triple. He also drove in two runs.

For El Cajon Valley (0-4), Greg Spivey and Don Parker went three for four.

Grossmont 5, San Pasqual 1--Todd Cady led Grossmont (3-0) by going two for four and driving in two runs. For San Pasqual (1-2), Brian Moss went three for four and teammate Ben Duncan went two for three with a solo home run.

Mira Mesa 10, San Dieguito 5--Brian Wilson went two for two with a three-run triple, Frankie Edsell had three hits and Daryle Owen two with an RBI apiece to lead Mira Mesa (4-0).

Hilltop-Moose Tournament

USDHS 9, El Capitan 1--Ryan Walker had two hits, one a two-run triple, to lead USDHS (2-0). Junior Rob Floco pitched a three-hitter, striking out six. El Capitan is 0-2.

Pirate Classic

Fallbrook 6, El Camino 4--Darren Buckley had a two-run double in a five-run fifth inning to lift Fallbrook (3-0), and Jose Gonzalez added two hits and two RBIs. Noel Prefontaine had a two-run single for El Camino.

Rancho Buena Vista 9, Laguna Beach 0--Mark Pallotto went three for four with two RBIs and teammate Hank Perry went two for four and stole a base for RBV (2-1).

Oceanside 4, Torrey Pines 3--The relief pitchers were the key to Oceanside’s victory. After sophomore starter Keith Humerickhouse left with an elbow injury in the second inning, junior Eric Lopez, junior Brian Norris and sophomore John Portugal allowed five hits and one earned run. Portugal, who took over in the seventh, got the save.

James Moore hit the go-ahead run in the fifth inning for Oceanside (2-0-1). Torrey Pines dropped to 0-3.

Imperial 13, Borrego Springs 1--Senior DH Pancho Valdez went two for four with a double and a triple for Imperial (2-0). Borrego is now 0-2.
