KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Matt Benedict made four free throws in the final 1:44 for Wisconsin Eau Claire’s final points Thursday night as the top-seeded Blugolds slipped past Westmont, 55-52, in overtime in the second round of the NAIA tournament.
Wisconsin Eau Claire is 29-2. Westmont, from Montecito, finished the season at 22-10.
