Montgomery 7, Mar Vista 0--Pedro Ramirez went two for two with four RBIs and struck out six in two innings for No. 6 Montgomery (7-0, 0-1). In a four-run third, Carlos Acuna had a two-run double, and Ramirez drove in two with a single.

Mission Bay 14, Oceanside 3--Jason Emomoto went two for two with three walks and three RBIs for Mission Bay. The Buccaneers (4-3) scored eight runs in the fourth inning.

Morse 8, Hoover 1--Wayne Brown went two for three with a double and two RBIs for Morse (4-3), which took a 6-0 first-inning lead. Hoover fell to 1-5.

San Diego 8, Coronado 6--In the seventh inning, Vic Ledon hit a two-run triple to put San Diego (6-1-1) ahead by one. Dwight Hancock followed with an RBI single. Coronado is 1-5-1.

Grossmont 15, Christian 1--Denny Craig and Matt Jones hit two-run homers in No. 3 Grossmont’s 12-run first inning. Craig (three RBIs) and Jones each went two for three. Wynter Phoenix was three for five with two triples and three RBIs. Grossmont improved to 10-0. It was Christian’s opening game.
