OCC Stops Palomar, Wins Softball Title
Orange Coast defeated Palomar, 5-2, to win the College of the Desert Easter softball tournament Thursday.
Kristin Heizer had a run-scoring triple and scored on an errant throw. Kami Bigler scored twice and drove in what proved to be the winning run with a single in the sixth inning for Orange Coast in the championship game. Becky Toler, who named the tournament’s most valuable player, had a hit and run scored for OCC.
