The Cal State Northridge football team will not have much of a home-field advantage this fall. The Matadors (7-4 in 1990) will be home for only three of their 10 regular-season games.

Northridge will open the season at Eastern Washington on Sept. 7, then travel to Eastern New Mexico and Cal State Fullerton before its first home game against Central State (Okla.) on Sept. 28.

The Matadors’ other home games will be against Santa Clara in a Western Football Conference opener Oct. 19 and against Southern Utah on Nov. 2. The remaining road games will be against UC Davis (Oct. 12), Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (Oct. 26), Portland State (Nov. 9) and Sacramento State (Nov. 16).

San Luis Obispo tied Northridge for the WFC title last year and defeated the Matadors in the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs.
