Bonita Vista 2, Mar Vista 1--In the bottom of the eighth with the scored tied, 1-1, Jorge Millan singled, Don Chateau doubled him to third, then Scott Field drove in Millan, for the winning run, on a sacrifice fly. Bonita Vista improved to 1-7, 1-1. Mar Vista is 5-4-1, 0-2.

Montgomery 1, Sweetwater 0--Mike Wazal scored off a sacrifice fly by Luis Contreras in the seventh inning for Montgomery (10-1-1, 2-0). Wazal reached base on a double, then Antonio Senerna grounded up the middle, advancing Wazal to third. Pedro Ramirez (3-0) pitched 6 1/3 perfect innings before allowing a hit. Ramirez struck out seven of 22 batters. Sweetwater is 3-5-1, 0-2.

City Conference Tournament

Group A

Mission Bay 10, Point Loma 0--The 10-run rule came into effect at Mission Bay after the fifth, after the Buccaneers had scored in each of the first five. Jason Enomoto, one of the top hitters in the county, drove in two runs, scored three times and went one for one for Mission Bay (6-3), which has outscored opponents 22-1 in its past two games. Point Loma fell to 5-7.

Group B

Madison 16, St. Augustine 8--Robi Hoffman hit a two-run homer to go with his three singles, two RBIs for Madison (2-8) at University City. Teammate Mike Jones was three for five, including three singles, and Jesus Martinez went three for five with four RBIs. St. Augustine fell to 5-5.

Lincoln 6, University City 4--With two outs, Tobias Price hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning to clinch the victory for Lincoln (5-4). Price went the distance, striking out 13, and allowing only two hits. University City is 8-2.

Group C

La Jolla 4, Kearny 0--Pedro Gonzalez and David Mullin combined for the six-strikeout shutout by allowing only five hits at La Jolla. La Jolla improved to 8-1 and will meet third-ranked Mira Mesa today. The winner advances to the semifinals of the tournament.

Mira Mesa 11, San Diego 3--Mike Bovee had a day off on the mound, but proved equally adept at the plate, where he went three for four with a triple, a double and drove in three runs. The Marauders improved to 11-2-1. Seventh-ranked San Diego, which fell to La Jolla Tuesday, dropped to 9-3-1. Mark Nielsen (3-0) pitched three innings.

Group D

USDHS 8, Crawford 2--A five-run second inning sparked USDHS (7-4), as the Dons won their pool with the victory at Serra. In the second, Ryan Walter’s base hit drove in two runs, David Sanchez doubled in two runs and Gavin Mallay singled in another. Crawford is 3-7.

Serra 8, Marian Catholic 3--Junior Ram Berrera, with 10 strikeouts, went the distance for Serra (10-3-1). Mike Bledsoe drove in two runs, picked up two hits and scored twice for the Conquistadors. Marian is (6-3-1).

Santa Fe Christian 15, Calvin Christian 10--Keith Galloway hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning for Santa Fe Christian (2-5). Galloway went three for five with three RBIs. Also for Santa Fe Christian, Mark Loeffler went four for five with three RBIs and Trey Call went two for four with three RBIs and three runs scored.
