No-Smoking Proposal
So, Secretary of Health and Human Services Louis W. Sullivan would like people to boycott sports events sponsored by cigarette companies. Where is this man’s mind? Apparently he approves of beer commercials, sending a message that it’s OK to get soused on suds. Good for “sports.”
Well, Louis old boy, I can smoke a pack of cigarettes, get in my car and be reasonably sure I’m alert enough to drive. Can you say the same if I drink a six-pack of beer? Get off our backs and do something about AIDS and drugs.
