Fillmore High’s Frontier League baseball record is scarred only by a tie with fourth-place Calabasas two weeks ago. Monday afternoon at Calabasas, the visiting Flashes exacted a bit of revenge, riding Juan Duran’s complete-game five-hitter to a 3-1 win over the Coyotes.

Duran (4-1) was lifted to victory when Fillmore (11-1-1, 6-0-1) scored three runs in the third inning. With the bases loaded, Steve Clinton drew a walk to tie the score at 1. Catcher Phillip Chessani followed with a two-run single to account for the final score.

Starter Paul Johnson (2-3) allowed just three hits for Calabasas (6-6-1, 2-4-1) in a hard-luck loss.
