PREP ROUNDUP : Servite Can’t Bounce Back After Loyola Rallies for Five Runs in Sixth Inning
Loyola rallied for five runs in the sixth inning and went on to defeat Servite, 8-7, in an Angelus League baseball game Monday in Los Angeles.
Servite led, 7-3, going into the bottom of the sixth. Servite (10-11, 4-7 in league) went down in order in the seventh.
Chris Honikel had two hits, including a double, scored twice and had a run batted in.
In Garden Grove League golf:
La Quinta 217, Pacifica 224--Jeff Pearson and Brain Shearan of Pacifica each shot 40s for Pacifica at Old Ranch County Club in Los Alamitos.
In nonleague golf:
Orange 199, Costa Mesa 217--Dave Villalobos of Orange shot an even-par 33 for Orange at River View Golf Club in Santa Ana.
