Borg Deserved a Nicer Story
Your department and Malcolm Folley deserve equal blame for a most shabby piece of sports reporting (“Borg’s Comeback Begins in Ignominious Defeat,” April 25). The fact that Bjorn Borg lost his first match after so long a period away warrants some sympathy and goodwill toward his comeback effort and some respect for a man who was a great champion.
Mr. Folley’s cheap shots speak to his own mean spirit. The small mystery is why you printed it, and why the equally mean headline.
