Today’s Elections
Elections will be held in Seal Beach and Irvine.
* In Seal Beach, voters will decide on two measures regarding the Hellman Ranch property. Measure A-91 would approve construction of 329 single-family homes, 26 acres of parkland and 41.4 acres of wetlands on the property. Should the measure fail, Measure B-91 would advise the City Council to use the Hellman Ranch property for a public golf course, parkland, recreational areas and wetlands.
* In Irvine, voters will decide on a special parcel tax for education. Measure P would add $35 to annual property tax bills for each parcel in the Irvine Unified School District. The measure, which needs two-thirds of the vote to pass, would raise about $1.4 million a year and would last four years.
* Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
* For information about polling places, voters in Irvine can call the registrar of voters office at (714) 567-7600. Voters in Seal Beach can call the city clerk’s office at (213) 431-2527.
