Great Western Pace Final Today at Los Alamitos
Today’s racing program at the Los Alamitos Race Course features 20 races, including the $50,000 final of the Great Western Pace series and two California Sire Stake finals.
First post is 12:45 p.m. and the program concludes with fireworks show at approximately 10 p.m.
Included in the field of 10 for the Great Western Pace final is Mercury, the 6-5 morning-line favorite. Mercury, who took nearly two seconds off the world record in the second leg of the series, drew the No. 4 post. Roan Spirit (8-1) drew the far outside post and Runaway Groom (3-1) drew the No. 10 post and will start from the inside of the second tier.
Among the top contenders in the California Sire Stake finals for 2-year-old trotting fillies are War At Home, Top Doll, Saca and Stock Holding.
