Northridge Women Post First Volleyball Victory

The Cal State Northridge women’s volleyball team won its first match of the season Saturday in the Labor Day Classic at Boise State, defeating Utah, 15-12, 16-14, 17-15.
However, Northridge (1-3) later lost to Brigham Young, 15-10, 15-17, 15-6, 15-5.
Against Utah, Melissa Clements was the lone Northridge player to reach double figures in kills with 15. Alison Wool added 37 assists.
Against Brigham Young, Patricia Fitzsimmons had a match-high 15 kills while Wool had 47 assists.
