OUTLOOK

Because the Trojans return most of their starters--including Dowdy and Apana, two of the better athletes in the league--many of the league’s coaches pick them as the favorite. Four of those returning have played on the varsity since they were sophomores and likely gained confidence last season when the team nearly made the playoffs before narrowly losing to Corona del Mar in their final game. If their unorthodox offense--the Delaware wing-T--is productive and the defense holds, the Trojans should at least return to the playoffs for the first time since 1986.
