Harbor City Narbonne 25, Fairfax 14--Fairfax (1-1), the City’s sixth-ranked team, ran only seven plays in the first half while committing five turnovers at home.

Narbonne (1-2), which had lost 42 of its last 43 games, ended a 19-game losing streak. The Gauchos built a 25-0 halftime lead behind three touchdowns from running back Orlandes Fletcher.

Marshall 35, Van Nuys 21--Hector Ortega rushed for 135 yards in 11 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead host Marshall (2-0-1).

Ortega scored on runs of 12 and 68 yards in the first half, and his 27-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter gave the Barristers a 35-21 lead.

Van Nuys (1-1) was led by senior running back Harold Boudreaux, who rushed for 108 yards in 13 carries and had 11 receptions for 82 yards.

Belmont 16, Grant 0--Helmer Vallejos returned the opening kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown and visiting Belmont (2-1) scored twice after Grant turnovers.

Grant (1-2) threatened late in the fourth quarter, moving 63 yards to Belmont’s 10. The 14-play drive ended when Lancer tailback Adam Rose (53 yards on 12 carries) fumbled after a three-yard loss.

Newhall Hart 33, Palmdale 14--Ryan Connors completed 25 of 39 passes for 442 yards and five touchdowns for Hart (2-1) at College of the Canyons.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound senior quarterback has three-game totals of 139 passes, 77 completions and 1,177 yards.

Palmdale is 0-3.

Palisades 30, North Hollywood 0--Tommy Cochran completed five of 10 passes for 74 yards and a touchdown to lead the Dolphins (2-0) at home.

North Hollywood (0-3) managed only 56 yards in offense and failed to score for the third consecutive shutout. North Hollywood quarterback Christopher O’Connor was sacked six times for minus-27 yards and completed only one of 15 passes for three yards.

Four Dolphins scored touchdowns, highlighted by Cochran’s 44-yard scoring pass to Larry Henderson.

Palisades scored two touchdowns on its last two drives of the first half, including Kenny Mitchell’s 40-yard punt return, to lead, 21-0.

Baldwin Park 28, West Covina South Hills 14--Baldwin Park (2-1) scored three unanswered touchdowns in the second quarter to overcome a 7-0 first-quarter deficit at Baldwin Park.

Marc Ruiz completed nine of 17 passes for 173 yards and four touchdowns and Lawrence Phillips rushed for 112 yards in nine carries for Baldwin Park. South Hills is 1-2.

Riverside Notre Dame 62, San Bernardino Aquinas 15--Bufford Brown rushed for 181 yards and three touchdowns and David Serna passed for three more for visiting Notre Dame (2-1).

The Titans have outscored their opponents, 104-22, in their last two games. Aquinas is 1-2.

Rolling Hills Peninsula 42, Redondo 22--Peninsula (3-0) scored two touchdowns within a three-minute period in the fourth quarter to pull away.

Brian Durbine and Guy Pisani rushed for 108 and 91 yards for Peninsula. Ted Silva completed 16 of 30 passes for 254 yards and a touchdown for Redondo (2-1).
