PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Monday Merely Another Night to Him
- Share via
The Raiders, at 29-6-1, have the best NFL record in Monday night games, but Kansas City Coach Marty Schottenheimer says he doesn’t believe in a Raider mystique.
“It’s not something I think that needs to be addressed,” said Schottenheimer, whose Chiefs will play the Raiders on Monday at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium. “They have been successful on Monday nights because they’re a very, very good football team. I don’t think their success in the past is necessarily material to the game Monday night.”
The Chiefs are 8-6 on Monday nights.
Holohan, who signed with the Chiefs as a Plan B free agent, has five catches for 28 yards and a touchdown. Holohan caught 159 passes in three previous seasons with the Rams.
Who leads the Raiders in tackles? A defensive lineman? A linebacker?
No, free safety Eddie Anderson, with 62. Anderson and strong safety Ronnie Lott have combined for 106 tackles, four fewer than the Raiders’ starting four-man defensive front.
