In Empire League girls’ volleyball:
Los Alamitos 3, Cypress 0--Kelly Kuebler had 20 kills and Kirstin Laird had 26 assists for visiting Los Alamitos (11-2, 8-1), which clinched a tie for its first league championship in 19 years.
In the Empire League individual tennis finals:
Palmero Wins--Los Alamitos’ Valerie Palmero defeated teammate Susan Huberman, 6-2, 6-1, for the singles title. Los Alamitos, which last week won its fourth consecutive league team title, dominated the singles’ finals and had two teams in the doubles final.
In South Coast League girls’ tennis:
Capistrano Valley 11, Dana Hills 7--Page Bartelt swept at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-3, 6-0, for Capistrano Valley (19-1, 10-0), which won the league championship. Runner-up Dana Hills is 8-2.
