In other Century League games:

Foothill 47, Canyon 36--Jared Winger scored 26 points and had eight rebounds for host Foothill (9-7, 1-0).

Villa Park 62, Orange 57 (OT)--David Mansolino scored with 2:28 left in overtime to put Villa Park (7-7, 1-0) ahead. Mansolino also made the basket which tied the score with 38 seconds left in regulation. Mansolino scored 17 points and had 11 rebounds in the game. Orange is 7-7 and 0-1 in league.

In the Angelus League:

Santa Margarita 50, Servite 49--Kevin Lewis made two free throws with 17 seconds remaining to give visiting Santa Margarita (14-2, 1-0) the victory. Servite guard Eddie Rubio had scored on a short jumper with 25 seconds left to give Servite (7-8, 0-1) a 49-48 lead.

Mike Carpenter scored 22 points for Santa Margarita, including three three-point shots in the first quarter. Servite took a 9-2 lead but Carpenter’s 28-foot shot at the buzzer tied the score, 19-19, at the end of the first quarter.

Servite had an opportunity to win the game but Rubio and teammate Matt Kenney missed jump shots before time expired.

Mater Dei 76, St. John Bosco 44--Reggie Geary led the visiting Monarchs (17-1, 1-0) with 14 points.

In the Freeway League:

Sunny Hills 79, Sonora 65--Terry Mann scored 23, including 11 in the first quarter, for host Sunny Hills (13-2, 1-0). Mann also had 14 rebounds for Sunny Hills, which led, 24-11, after the first quarter and, 51-27, at the half.

Kevin Christian added 20, including four three-pointers for Sunny Hills. Chris St. Clair had 20 and James Cannaday 16, including four three-pointers, for Sonora.

Troy 66, La Habra 46--Tim Lien scored 14 points and seven rebounds for Troy (11-5, 1-0).

Buena Park 49, Fullerton 37--Brian Baylor scored 12 points for Buena Park (12-3, 1-0). Pablo Garza scored a game-high 14 points for Fullerton (5-10, 0-1).

In Garden Grove League:

Santiago 59, Los Amigos 54--Con Nguyen and Juan Soriano each scored 16 points for visiting Santiago (9-3, 2-0). Jeff Martel led Los Amigos (4-9, 1-1) with 17 points and three three-pointers.

Rancho Alamitos 62, Bolsa Grande 54--Garrett Fukuda scored 12 for Rancho Alamitos (5-6, 2-0). Bolsa Grande is 0-10, 0-2.

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 90, Mission Viejo 56--Tom Airey scored 32 points and made 10 three-pointers in 12 attempts for host Capistrano Valley (14-3, 1-0). The Cougars made 16 three-pointers in the game. Airey’s 10 three-pointers matched his own Orange County record, which he set last season. The Southern Section record for three-pointers in a single game is 12 by Chris Hansen of El Segundo High School in 1991. Jeff Carr led Mission Viejo with 20 points.

Irvine 59, El Toro 48--Eric Ambrozich led Irvine (14-3, 1-0) with 17 points as the Vaqueros took a 17-3 lead after the first quarter.

San Clemente 62, Dana Hills 46--Marcus Guilde scored 21 points and had 18 rebounds for San Clemente (7-8).

In the Olympic League:

Orange Lutheran 50, Ayala 47--Jeff Courvoisier sank two free-throws with three seconds remaining in the game to cushion Orange Lutheran’s 48-47 lead.

Brethren Christian 72, Valley Christian 58--Chiron Hart scored 23 points for Brethren Christian (10-2, 2-0).

Whittier Christian 66, Ontario Christian 57--Jeff Rutter scored 19 points for Whittier Christian (7-6, 1-1).
