In another City Eastern League game:

Mira Mesa 77, Mission Bay 58--Mission Bay defended well but Ryan Cunningham, scored 43% of his team’s points. Cunningham finished with 30 as Mira Mesa improved to 14-4.

City Central League

Madison 73, Crawford 54--The Colts trailed by only five points with 3:30 left, but saw the Warhawks (11-8, 3-0) make 10 of 11 free throws in the fourth quarter to ice it. Madison, led by guard Matt Baker (20 points, 9-for-10 free throws), made 26 of 29 total free throws.

San Diego 73, Hoover 56--Travis Nicholls added 13 rebounds and four assists to his game-high 21 points for San Diego (8-6, 1-1) and teammate Cedric Bagby added 14 points and 5 assists.

City Western League

La Jolla 59, University City 55--Barry Waits scored a game-high 31 points, including four three pointers in last three minutes, but it was not enough to prevent a La Jolla victory.

City Harbor League

Christian 66, Marian 41--The Patriots sank five three-point shots in a 27-10 second period and cruised to a 41-18 halftime lead.

GIRLS

City Eastern League

Point Loma 54, Serra 38--Lisa Griego scored 30 points, assisted on seven baskets and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead Point Loma (15-1, 3-0). Lynn Riordin led Serra (8-8, 1-10) with 11 points.

Palomar League

Rancho Bernardo 71, El Camino 44--Jessica Porter scored 20 points and teammate Robin Blalock added 12 for Rancho Bernardo (15-2, 6-1). for El Camino (2-13, 2-5), Lisa Flores scored 16 points and Alisa Clendening had 14.

Torrey Pines 67, Vista 54--Nada Tomic led Torrey Pines (8-9, 2-5) with 19 points, including three three-pointers.
