CSUN Women Finish Season With 2nd Victory, 78-59

The Cal State Northridge women’s basketball team ended an otherwise dismal season on an up note, whipping Northern Arizona, 78-59, in its season finale Thursday.
Forward Shagarro Lattin scored 18 points and had 12 rebounds for the host Matadors (2-24), who registered a season high for points. Lattin was one of four seniors playing in their last last Northridge game. Others were guard Christine Rumfola (16 points), forward Dawn Broline (six assists) and Teresa McCauley.
Junior Cynthia Llerenas made two three-point baskets, giving her a school single-season record 27. Janel Vega added 14 points for CSUN and Llerenas and Roz Linton each scored 10 points.
Two players--Tracy Carlson with 16 points and Stephanie Levingston with 13--scored in double figures for Northern Arizona (7-17).
