Cal Whips SDSU in Men’s Tennis

San Diego State’s tennis team suffered its first loss of the season, 6-3, at 14th-ranked Cal on Monday.
SDSU (5-1) got singles victories from Chris Numbers and Jeff Belloli, and a doubles victory from Joe McDonough and Kerry Safdie.
GOLF
The University of San Diego placed 12th in the 14-team Sacramento State Invitational held at the par-72 Rancho Murietta Country Club. USD finished with a four-golfer, two-round total of 649. First-place UC Irvine shot 597.
Steve Brown was USD’s top golfer, finishing 37th with a 16-under 160. Matt Schweiger of Boise State and Adam Horodyski of UC Irvine tied for first at 144.
