Share

West Hills moved to the top of its division standings for the first time in school history Monday when the Wolf Pack defeated El Capitan, 4-3.

The Wolf Pack, in its third year of existence, had won only eight games before this season, but is now atop the Grossmont 2-A standings at 10-9-1, 4-2.

It wasn’t easy getting there. The Vaqueros (15-9, 3-2) scored in the top of the seventh inning to tie the score. It took a bases-loaded single by Mike Turner to score Paul Tellechea with the game-winner with one out.
