Grossmont 2, Chula Vista 1--Pitcher Jessica Hahn (3-1) threw a two-hitter, striking out eight, to lift the Foothillers (23-8), who have lost their ace pitcher and first baseman.

Mt. Miguel 5, Morse 1--Natasha Sprague’s two-hitter improved her record to 20-6 and she got plenty of offense, including a home run by Amie Belanger and a triple by Gail Ostrander. The Matadors are 20-10; the Tigers finished 16-11.

Fallbrook 1, Castle Park 0--The third-seeded Trojans (16-8) had runners on second and third with no outs in the first and failed to score. Carrie Brock, who reached base on an error and later advanced to third on a wild pitch, scored the only run in the top of the seventh on Trisha Paine’s single. Fallbrook is 16-10.

Granite Hills 1, Serra 0--Rebecca Kilpatrick pitched her first no-hitter of the season and got all the support she needed in the first inning on a single by Erin Stout that scored Shawna Dahl. Granite Hills is 24-9-1; Serra finished 13-14.

Hilltop 4, Orange Glen 1--Shortstop Darlene Ortega had two hits, including an RBI-single in Lancers’ three-run fourth inning. Ann Basinski (4-3) threw a two-hitter for the defending 3-A champions (17-11). Orange Glen finished 14-10.

USDHS 2, San Diego 1 (8 inn.)--Pinch-running freshmen Bridgette Crisostomo and Jackie Peluso scored both runs on ground outs as second-seeded USDHS improved to 19-4. San Diego finished 9-10.

San Marcos 2, Valhalla 1--Charlene Reyes (14-4) struck out eight and had two triples at the plate for the Knights (21-6). Valhalla finished 11-13.

Madison 3, Mission Bay 1--Michelle Hudson struck out 10 to improve to 13-6 for the fourth-seeded Warhawks (19-7). The deciding runs scored on a throwing error in the infield. Katie Fleming had two hits for Madison. Mission Bay finished 8-15.

Santana 4, El Camino 3--Catcher Theresa Stippey had a double, triple and threw out three runners.

Christian 1, Carlsbad 0--Allison Okken singled in Sarah Dawson with two outs in the fourth for the game’s only run. Dawson, who had a perfect game through six innings, tossed a two-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks. Christian improved to 20-5.

San Pasqual 3, El Cajon Valley 2--Senior second baseman Richelle Stump’s two-out single to left scored pinch-runner Kelli Moore with the winning run in the sixth. Erin Combe (15-3) scattered three hits and struck out three for San Pasqual (18-6). El Cajon finished at 13-15.

El Capitan 1, La Jolla 0--Freshman Marcie Moretz threw her 10th shutout with five strikeouts and one walk for El Capitan.

Escondido 6, Our Lady of Peace 1--Jennifer Chambers tossed a four-hitter with nine strikeouts and Kim Scales went three for three with three RBIs to lead Escondido.

Bishop’s 15, Borrego Springs 2--Anna Bjeldanes struck out 11 and allowed two unearned runs in the seventh inning for second-seeded Bishop’s (16-4).
