EL CAJON — World Boxing Council super-welterweight champion Terry Norris emerged relatively unscathed Friday after he lost control of his jeep on Interstate 8 and it rolled over, landing on a freeway on-ramp.
Norris, 25, of Alpine, told Highway Patrol officers that another vehicle cut him off, forcing him to swerve and lose control, public affairs officer Roy Kramer said. Norris was westbound, near Greenfield Drive, when the accident occurred about 8:40 a.m.
Norris and a passenger, Rus Moseley, 25, of Campo, sustained minor abrasions. Both were wearing seat belts, Kramer said.
Kramer said there was no indication of any traffic violations by Norris and he was not cited.
