Patrick Henry High’s Chris Riley started the day two strokes behind Michael Ruiz, former Henry and soon to be UNLV teammate, but shot a three-under-par 69 to win the boys’ 15-18 division of the Las Vegas Founders’ Legacy junior tournament.

Riley finished with a four-under 212 and took a one-stroke victory over Mark Nicoletti of Dos Palos, Calif., and Timothy Bans of Phoenix, who tied for second. Ruiz, who began the day as the leader, was one-over-par and finished third at 214. Rancho Santa Fe’s Jeff Padilla shot a 236.

Rancho Santa Fe’s Greg Padilla was second in the boys’ 13-14 division and trailed winner Michael Vera of Antioch by 12 strokes. Jason Riddle, also of Rancho Santa Fe, shot a 251.
