Raiders to Open Gates to Public for 1 Day
The Los Angeles Raiders will hold their annual “Family Day” today at the Oxnard High football field.
Gates will open at 10:30 a.m., with the formal program starting at 11:15.
This is the only opportunity for the general public to watch the Raiders practice. The Raiders normally train at their summer headquarters at the Radisson River Ridge complex in Oxnard, but all practices are closed to the public.
Raider Coach Art Shell and his staff will lead a brief football clinic with skill demonstrations beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Free schedule posters, autograph sheets and other items will be given away. Coaches, players and the Raiderettes will be available for autographs and photos after the practice.
