OUTLOOK

McHale, last year’s defensive coordinator, replaces Marty Luczaj as head coach. Luczaj revitalized Buena Park’s program, leading the Coyotes to a playoff berth in his first season in 1991 and then helping them win the Freeway League championship last year. Buena Park hadn’t won a league title since 1965 and once lost 28 consecutive league games in the 1980s. “We hope to carry on the success that the program has accomplished during the past two years and to continue building a successful program for the future,” said McHale. The team’s strengths are the offensive and defensive lines. Buckley, a starter at free safety last season, will quarterback. Stone is a two-time all-league wide receiver.
