*OUTLOOK

Irvine, which moves from the South Coast League this season, won the Southern Section Division II title a year ago. With 10 starters back, the Vaqueros are everyone’s pick to win the Sea View League this season. The only problem might be at quarterback. Garcia, a wide receiver last season, is being asked to replace Jason Minici, who might have been the best quarterback in the county last season. Until Garcia gets settled, Seal will carry the load. He gained more than 1,700 yards last season. Irvine also has three offensive linemen back. The defense will be good. Jones is a nasty hitter and three defensive backs return.
