OUTLOOK
Swearingen starts the season as the winningest active community college football coach in the nation with a mark of 230-68-6. He needs 11 victories to tie Hal Sherbeck, who retired last spring after 31 years at Fullerton. Snowden passed for 2,284 yards and 20 touchdowns last year. Chrishon rushed for 910 yards, including 207 in 30 carries as Saddleback defeated Cerritos, 42-18, in the Simple Green Orange County Bowl. The offensive line returns three starters--Ackermann, Welker and Sulages. The concern is clearly on defense, where Saddleback returns only a handful of players. Chapman is back at defensive back and Webb at linebacker.
