PREP POLLS : Los Alamitos Tops Irvine in Football Poll

Los Alamitos High School received three first-place votes to edge Irvine by one point for the top spot in the opening 1992 prep football poll by the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn.

Irvine received two first-place votes and third-ranked Esperanza received one first-place vote. Three Sea View League members made the poll--Irvine (second), Tustin (fourth) and Santa Margarita (10th)--and Newport Harbor also received votes.
